survey analysis
Chart 1
This chart simply shows that an equal amount of tourists and locals were surveyed
Chart 2
From this we can see that the majority of people surveyed believed that Brisbane's tourist attractions were easily accessible by public transport, and 10% did not. The percentage that said they did not know were tourists who hadn't been there long enough to make a judgement. Some interesting comments people made were that whilst the inner city transport was very good, the transport in the outer suburbs could definitely be improved on.
Chart 3
There was a very positive response for this question, with 88% of people choosing between 6 & 10. If i could redo this, I would write the exact number everyone said to give a bit more detail. From memory, a lot of people said either 7 or 8. The people who said 1-5 were generally people who had experienced the tourism in much bigger cities.
Chart 4
Approximately 3 quarters of the people we interviewed believed there was enough to do in Brisbane, although a general comment was that it wasn't advertised enough so a lot of people don't realise how much there is to do in Brisbane until they get there.
Chart 5
According to this graph, 70% of people we surveyed believe that it is fair to say that Brisbane is a new world city, which would seem to support the claim that Brisbane is, indeed, a new world city. However many of the people that we surveyed were not really sure what the term actually meant so the results are not very accurate or useful.
